Hi, I'm Casey, a copywriter in the luxury fashion retail industry.
My Work
Product Copywriting
What I Do
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but in the world of retail and e-commerce, informative product copy is essential. My goal when writing product copy is to evaluate the design details and technical specifications of every product that comes through the studio, and to translate that valuable information to our customers in a clean, concise, and alluring manner.
How I Do It
My goal in this position is to be the expert on everything that comes through the studio doors. From brand appearance and style names to hyper-specific materials and callout detailing, I am the conduit that translates high-end luxury into understandable consumer-facing content. Brand and industry research, comp analyses, and an enduring love of the fashion world are essential elements of my day.
I write product copy for fashion e-commerce retailers Rue La La and Gilt, as well as other affiliated outlets which include Simon Premium Outlets, La Via, Bluefly, and Marketplace. I write for a wide variety of categories and European luxury brands with distinct standards and brand voices, encapsulating everything from fashion and accessories to home goods and technology.
Television
I write weekly television line sheets for Rue Gilt Groupe’s sales segments with industry-leading partners including ACCESS, Wendy Williams, E!, Drew Barrymore, and more. These segments include a wide variety of categories and themes, including fashion, home goods, beauty, and accessories.
What I Do
For several years I've partnered with a popular selection of television personalities and programs to help them pick products that their viewers will love, and to provide them with fun and informative talking points that drive sales. These partnerships are a ton of fun because they allow for a lot of variety and creative opportunity.
TV Partners
I've written for a wide variety of television programs and partners, including:
E!
Drew Barrymore
Rachael Ray
Kelly Clarkson
ACCESS
Wendy Williams
Nick Cannon
Sherri Shepherd
The Real
…and more!
Social & Web
I help businesses craft branded messaging that communicates their unique personality and vision. I use a blend of copywriting and design to help build and strengthen brands through effective and engaging content in various channels, including web copy and social media.
What I Do
Captions and content and landing pages, oh my! Whether you need a quick blurb or long-form content, my expertise is telling your brand story in your brand voice. I love social & web projects that allow me to write unique, punchy copy that is personally tailored to captivate and inspire your audience.
Social & Web Partners
I've written captions, web content, social promotions, and more on multiple platforms for a variety of brands, including the following:
Rue La La
Gilt
Ashbourne Farms
Ryan L. Smith Photography
The Party Stage Co.

I'm grateful to have been able to work with a variety of companies, clients, and creative agencies for exciting standalone projects, several of which are highlighted below:

Purgatory wasn't exactly where Owen thought he'd end up, but sometimes you don't quite get it right on the first go-round. Owen has spent the last twelve years somewhere between Heaven and Hell learning that lesson the hard way. But now Owen's sentence is complete, his penance done, and he's ready to meet with his caseworker, the Archangel Michael, to finally take that long-awaited trip to Paradise. But then she walks in to his life and everything changes. Mia, a burst of color cutting through the drab grey of the In-Between. She is excitement enough for Owen to delay salvation for two more weeks, and in that time, learn that he still has a long way to go before moving on.
